The Sagrada Família has been rising since 1882, and every side of it belongs to a different age. In February 2026 the tower of Jesus Christ was completed outside, making it the tallest church in the world, and its main front is still to be built. Start at the pond in Plaça de Gaudí and circle the basilica: the Nativity façade Gaudí built as a model, the Glory side and its planned stairway, his small school with a roof of straight lines, Subirachs's stark Passion façade and the apse where it all began. Then follow the Avinguda de Gaudí uphill to the Hospital de Sant Pau, a garden city of pavilions set on a cross and a UNESCO site. Eleven stops, about 1.5 km and an hour, at your own pace, in English. Entry to the basilica and to Sant Pau is not included; every stop works from the street.
What's included
A loop round all four sides of the Sagrada Família, from the pond to the Nativity, the unfinished Glory front, Gaudí's school, the Passion and the apse, then up the Avinguda de Gaudí to the Hospital de Sant Pau.
